Route 364/94/Muegge Road
2024 ACEC Missouri Engineering Excellence Award Winner
The Route 364/94/Muegge Road project in St. Charles County marked the first Project Management Contract (PMC) undertaken by the Gonzalez team. This comprehensive project involved full Construction Management (CM) responsibilities, encompassing administration, inspection, and Quality Assurance (QA) testing for various upgrades. Spanning a total length of 5 miles, the project consisted of three distinct jobs.
The J6P3418 project involved multiple critical tasks, including bridge widening, expansion joint replacement on three structures, and deck surface preparation. Additionally, it required substructure repair, grading, and concrete pavement work. To improve traffic flow and safety, the project included the addition of signals and signage, as well as the construction of two retaining walls at the intersections of Route 94/364 and Muegge Road.
The J6S3304 project focused on resurfacing Route 94 from Route 364 to I-70. This resurfacing work was essential to maintain the integrity and safety of the roadway, ensuring a smooth and durable surface for motorists.
The J6S3600 project involved grading and pavement work to add a third lane from MO364 to I-70. This expansion aimed to accommodate increased traffic volumes and improve overall traffic flow along this critical corridor.
Through meticulous planning and execution, the team successfully managed and completed these essential infrastructure upgrades, significantly enhancing safety and efficiency for the Route 364/94/Muegge Road corridor.
